I Had a Long Dream Last Night

2024

(8', single-channel video)

shown at:

Fringe! Queer Film & Arts Festival 2025, Rich Mix, London

Synopsis:

Centred on the artist's return to his hometown from London, this film is an elegy for the past. Whether it is memory or dream, yet one is forced to confront the lingering wounds it leaves behind, revealing a demolished hometown, an erased identity, and a tangled relation with family. It unfolds more like a dream within another dream, where body and land metaphorically intertwine, and the narrative breathes through cuts, displacements, and silences.
