2018 - 2021
Once you have got familiar with one place, you move to another place. Probably, it’s a way to confront the feeling of homesickness. If you stay in the same place for a long time, it will become your home offering you a sense of nostalgia simultaneously. Unexpectedly, I’ve been living in the same room for almost three years now since the first photograph of this tree I took from my window. As time goes by, 17 Flodden Road has become my home in London. Recording this tree has also become a ritual of a longing for home, bridging the gap between my hometown Shanghai and the home I’m now living in.
